Work in comfort and in style
Both the Tecra A40-J and A50-J have been developed to balance portability and performance with a distinct, premium design. With mobility at its core, the Tecra A40-J weighs 3.24 lbs.2 (1.45kg) and boasts a large non-glare 14-inch HD or FHD screen in an 18.9mm thin package. While its 15-inch sibling, the Tecra A50-J, offers a larger screen in a thin 19.9mm design and weighs 3.64 lbs.2 (1.65kg), for the modern hybrid user. The Tecra A50-J is now 22-percent lighter and 17-percent thinner than its predecessor.

The pair feature a slim-bezel display design and an easy-to-open hinge for a quick start up. The screen of each device can also be folded flat to 180 degrees for easy document sharing. The 14-inch Tecra A40-J also offers touchscreen options for further usability. At the same time, a large and lowered backlit keyboard with SecurePad on both devices enables comfortable, all day typing. The Tecra A50-J is also equipped with a numeric keypad.

Stay in touch and on track
The new Tecra duo gives users an abundance of tools for a productive and collaborative working day – no matter their location. An HD camera with a privacy shutter, Cortana-enabled dual noise-suppressing mics, and quality stereo speakers with DTS® audio processing all combine to enable seamless video or audio conferencing.

The full connectivity toolkit
At the office desk, the home study or even the kitchen table, both devices offer all the connections a workforce needs to plug into their environment and the wider world. Two Thunderbolt™ 4 enabled USB-C® ports provide fast charge, data transfer and the ability to connect to four external monitors. Global Hey Siri Wake Words Available from Sensory

Global Hey Siri Wake Words Available from Sensory

Sensory announces that TrulyHandsfree™, the company’s edge-based wake word and phrase recognition engine, now supports models for ‘Hey Siri’ for dozens of different countries. Developers licensing Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree SDK can request access to the Hey Siri models for integration into their prototypes and finished products. Sensory’s Hey Siri wake word has already been used in products that have received MFi (Made for iPhone/iPad) approval, now Sensory is releasing international versions, and the timing is perfect for Apple’s introduction of Hey Siri for third-party devices through HomeKit and Matter as announced in Ecobee with Hey Siri.

Sensory is recognized as the de-facto leader for custom branded wake words and earlier this year the company opened its online portal, VoiceHub, to developers for quick development of custom wake words. While demand for custom branded wake words continues to be strong, there is also a robust demand for tuned wake word models that support well-known virtual assistants like Alexa, Bixby, Cortana, Google, and Siri. With the release of the Hey Siri model, the company now supports all of the most popular virtual assistants in the USA. Looking beyond the USA, Sensory also provides wake word models for Tencent, Baidu, Naver, Rakuten, and others. The new Siri models support multiple languages across North America, Europe, and Asia.

“Every conversation with a virtual assistant, starts with a wake word, so accurate wake word performance across the world is mandatory for a positive user experience,” said Todd Mozer, Sensory CEO. “Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree wake word engine has shipped in billions of products, including mobile phones, smart speakers, wearables, smart appliances, and automobiles. All of that real-world experience provides a competitive advantage for Sensory models. Our wake words provide unparalleled accuracy with the acoustic challenges of background noise, accented speech, and far-field conditions.”

Sensory provides developers with the ultimate flexibility for virtual assistant wakes words: a preset library of popular tuned wake word models, support for two dozen languages/dialects, as well as the ability to create custom-branded wake words with VoiceHub. As a member of Amazon’s Voice Interoperability Initiative, Sensory is well-positioned to support the mission of providing customers choice and flexibility to interact with multiple voice services. Third-party device makers can create new products that integrate multiple virtual assistants with branded wake words and custom voice experiences. As stated by Jeff Bezos, Amazon CEO, “Multiple simultaneous wake words provide the best option for customers.”

SolidRun, a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance edge computing solutions, today announced a new line of mini, embedded System-on-Module (SoM) solutions powered by the OCTEON TX2 CN9130 quad-core Arm Cortex A72 processors from Marvell. These full-featured, network-centric SoMs might be tiny, with a 50 x 35mm PCB footprint, but they’re equipped with a powerful CPU, power management subsystem, memory, flash storage, I/O and interconnected subsystems. Available in high-performance commercial and fanless industrial variants, this SoM delivers incredible network capabilities, while consuming just 11-Watts of power.

“Today’s networks are becoming increasingly more complex as services, analytics and network functions migrate to the edge,” said Dr. Atai Ziv, CEO at SolidRun. “Combining that complexity with the imminent proliferation of 5G, the need for ultra-high-performance networking appliances for the cloud, edge and everywhere in between becomes apparent. Our line of OCTEON TX2 CN9130-based SoMs and flexible carriers will fuel the development of these products, meeting the demands of next generation networking, enterprise, and data center applications.”

With the speed, compact size and deployment flexibility offered by the CN9130 mini SoM, SolidRun is providing the foundation for developers to create next-generation commercial and industrial intelligent networking, security and edge computing applications, such as 5G base stations, routers and gateways, edge servers, software-defined networking applications, as well as high-speed network storage. It features powerful networking connectivity, including high-throughput network, storage and security accelerators, 3x PCIe ports, 1x 10GbE port, 2x USB 3.0, 2x SATA 3.0 and more. It supports mainline Linux and OpenWrt operating systems, as well as provides full network virtualization capabilities.

SolidRun continues to develop its new SoMs taking into account footprint, pin compatibility and shared software resources in order to help customers future-proof their products. Sharing the same form factor and pin layout as SolidRun’s A38x SoM, the new CN9130 SoM provides customers a direct-replacement upgrade path for existing A38x-based products.

“In order to truly maximize the vast capabilities of modern high-performance data networks, hardware must be capable of significantly faster throughput and more robust security from the cloud to the network’s edge,” said Jeffrey Ho, Senior Marketing Manager of Infrastructure Processors Group at Marvell. “We’re thrilled about SolidRun’s latest CN9130 SoM as this is an ideal solution for accelerating the development of next-generation, high-performance networking hardware that puts the performance of our powerful OCTEON TX2 SoCs to work.”

For quick prototyping or expediting time-to-market for new products based on the CN9130 SoM, SolidRun offers two extremely flexible, network-centric carrier boards – ClearFog CN9130 Pro and ClearFog CN9130 Base. These carrier boards can be deployed as-is, allowing manufacturers to leapfrog the competition by dramatically reducing device engineering time, or can be utilized by developers to quickly prototype bespoke applications. Both carriers offer next-generation computing and networking performance, as well as flexible power and connectivity options. Additionally, both carrier platforms are well suited for commercial applications, and can be deployed in fanless configurations, supporting extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C.

Ideal for networking, routing, network storage and IoT gateway applications, ClearFog Pro pairs the CN9130 SoM with a vast arrangement of I/O options, including 5x switched ethernet ports and SFP+ cage for demanding networking applications. It also features Mini-PCIe and M.2 expansion slots which are useful for adding WIFI or LTE communications capabilities.

Perfect for advanced NFV applications at the edge, ClearFog Base delivers a ton of useful features in a compact footprint. It supports dual LTE and dual SIM cards for extended connectivity, and features 2x GbE ports and an SFP+ cage for heavy-duty networking, as well as USB 3.0 connectivity.
